Gord Annand and his wife Susan began their relationship with Whistler back in 1965 as renters and weekenders. In 1988 the two made their first permanent investment in Nordic Estates as second homeowners. In 2004 they parted ways with their Vancouver roots and moved fulltime to Whistler to pursue their outdoor interests in skiing, golf and the outdoors. Gord began working part time for Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Safety as Team Lead from 2006-2016.
Gord’s professional experience is rooted in entrepreneurship with a background in sales and marketing. In this work he traveled Western Canada building relationships along the way.
As a volunteer Gord has provided leadership on several boards including the NWCTA, BCMAC, The Whistler Public Library, as well as chairing his strata since 2004. Gord has been a volunteer champion, coordinating support for events like the Telus Skins Game, Ironman and Cornucopia to name a few. His commitment to volunteering earned him an honor by Mayor and Council in 2014 and the Governor General Canada Sovereign’s Medal for volunteers in 2017.
Gord can be found on any given morning walking the valley trails with his four-legged Airedale companion Sleeman. Throughout the year he and his wife Susan play host to a houseful of nieces, nephews, and their children coming to spend time and enjoy life in Whistler.
